You've heard the lady... Not that you have any choice, but it is always polite to ask. And Illaila is almost always polite, especially while strangling her prey with its own guts, but I digress.

So yeah, Illaila seen right after her work. Looks like things got a little... messy and there seems to be one, rather unlucky subject left that just happens to hear that question from the title.
Anyway, you can clearly see she is a professional and perfectionist - barely any stains on her dress, even though she had to kill several people who had very poor (or excellent, depends on point of view) timing.
Of course, she will vanish before the reinforcements arrive. She will probably just run straight to her main target, hidden under veil of her mighty illusions and pretending to be his lover, scared after witnessing the slaughter. And then... The blood will be spilled, slowly.

Illaila was very talented child, having natural skills in several different categories. She also started showing her psychic potential relatively early. Her Housemother additionally indulged her ambitions and perfectionism. At one point, Illaila somewhat freaked out with a kind of superiority complex. She quickly noticed similarities of her beloved dancing and close combat, so she decided to make use of her talents in the Guard (there was no Temple Guard yet). She failed, however, but not because she was weak combatant. She was unable to fulfil orders and had constant arguments with her commanders about the sense of given orders. Training matches showed another of her traits, violence against everyone weaker - some training fights ended with broken bones and other injuries delivered to her opponents. Her commanders were very upset and decided to remove her from military as someone dangerous to squad's morale.
After this failure Illaila aimed her ambitions even higher, towards the Temple. Interestingly enough, her self-discipline made it easy for her to fit in the priestess community, even though her superiors found her to be quite disappointing in the end. Illaila was unable to understand certain moral aspects of the cult, sometimes clearly showing her disagreement, even though during her training she was able to quote the verses to the letter. To make things worse, her psychic powers proved to not as mighty as initially believed, even though they showed up early. However, Illaila learned to use them with exceptional efficiency.
Illaila was a great speaker, though she has been fired from her job in the temple after her superior figured out that that she was terrible and arrogant adviser (especially towards males she grew up to despise during her training - she was making fake woos toward them).
In other words, she has been degraded to the lower rank among the Sukurfalane and was left alone afterwards. Illaila, in secret continued her training sessions and started sneaking out of the city to spy on Guards and Hunters and... to hunt by herself - her prey were members of other species that happened to get too close. This was, however, not enough.
Soon after death of Lord Gahir the Shata'lin council started debates about military reforms that had to secure the Tear from future attacks. One of the points was intelligence - this is where Illaila came up with the idea of sending the assassins deep into the enemy territory that had to eliminate valuable targets.
Despite certain doubts, the project passed and proved to be very successful. Illaila could finally mix her arrogant but seductive personality with sheer violence.

Nie lubi: Praktycznie nikogo nie lubi, a już przede wszystkim nienawidzi większości mężczyzn, ponadto nie cierpi kobiet sprzedających swoją godnosć. Nie lubi też otrzymywania bólu, alkoholu, ludzi, brudnych i paskudnych miejsc.

Illaila od dziecka była diabelnie utalentowana w kilku różnych dziedzinach i dość szybko zaczęła przejawiać zdolności psioniczne. Jej opiekunka dodatkowo podsycała jej ambicje i dążenie do perfekcji. W pewnym momencie Illaili z deka odbiło i dorobiła się "małego" kompleksu wyższości. W dość młodym wieku zauważyła też podobieństwo sztuk walki i tańca, który swoją drogą uwielbia. Nie trzeba chyba mówić, że szybko postanowiła spróbować swoich sił w Gwardii (Straży Świątynnej jeszcze nie było w obecnej formie), ale... Nie udało jej się, nie dla tego, że słabo radziła sobie z walką, ale nie potrafiła wypełniać rozkazów i ciągle starała się poprawiać dowódców. Treningowe potyczki ujawniły jej kolejną cechę, niezwykłą brutalność skierowaną przeciwko każdemu, kto był od niej wyraźnie słabszy (nie kończyło się tylko na siniakach, ale i na połamanych kończynach). To ostatecznie przekreśliło jej szanse - dowodzący uznali, że nie byłaby wsparciem dla członków oddziału, a raczej czynnikiem potwornie łamiącym morale.
Po tej, pierwszej w życiu porażce Illaila skierowała swoje ambicje... Jeszcze wyżej, w stronę świątyni. Paradoksalnie, tu poszło jej dużo łatwiej - przyzywczajona do godzin samodzielnego treningu Illaila dość łatwo wpasowała się w środowisko kapłanek, gdzie, ostatecznie okazała się pewnym rozczarowaniem. Nie pojmowała wielu aspektów moralnych i dość otwarcie je podważała, pomimo tego, że podczas szkoleń świetnie wklepywała regółki i udawała, że wierzy w to, co mówi. Co więcej, jej moce psioniczne może i ujawniły się wcześnie, ale okazały się raczej ograniczone, choć wydajności Illaili nie sposób było odmówić.
Pomimo tego, że Illaila świetnie sprawdzała się w roli mówcy, w ciągu kilku miesięcy została odsunieta od pełnienia posługi kapłańskiej, gdy zorientowano się, że dawanie porad delikatnie mówiąc jej nie wychodziło i gdy zaczęła prezentować swoją dość arogancką naturę w stosunku do wiernych (głównie mężczyzn w stosunku do których skutecznie udawała zaloty - w czasie szkoleń kapłańskich wyrobiła sobie pogardę dla przeciwnej płci).
Innymi słowy - została zdegradowana do kapłanki niższej rangi i praktycznie zostawiona sama sobie. Illaila po kryjomu kontynuowała samodzielne treningi, od czasu do czasu wymykała się też za mury Łzy i podpatrywała Gwardzistów oraz Łowców, z czasem też zaczęła urządzać własne, tajne polowania, po prostu mordując każdego przedstawiciela innej rasy, jaki jej się nawinął, to jej jednak nie wystarczyło.
Wkrótce po śmierci Gahira zaczęto debatować nad reformami zbrojeniowymi i dalszymi krokami mającymi zabezpieczyć Łzę przed atakami. Jednym z punktów debat był wywiad - wtedy też Illaila zaproponowała wystawienie specjalnie wyszkolonych zabójczyń, które miałyby likwidować ważnych oficjeli potencjalnych, wrogich nacji.
Pomimo wątpliwości, projekt przeszedł i okazał się znacznym sukcesem, Illaila zaś mogła wreszcie połączyć swój arogancki, choć jednocześnie nieco zalotny charakter i czystą brutalność.
