Appearance:
Shata'lin are tall reptilian humanoids. Females are from 180cm (about 5,9ft) to 210cm (about 6,9ft) tall while males are from 190cm (6,2ft) to 225cm (7,4ft). Note that they are bipedal and digitigrade.
In general - Shata'lin body shape is very similar to this of human with few exceptions.
First of all - feet. As I mentioned before, Shata'lin feet are digitigrade and have only two toes per foot. Each toe is ended with a large and strong claw. You've been waiting long for this day

I'm back in drawing, with head full of ideas and time to draw.

In this drawing you can see Shata'lin guardian in futuristic setting.
Powered armour - medium class - is typical equipment of Her Holy Guard champions and is resistant to most infantry weapons of human soldiers while kinetic rifle is potent anti-infantry weapon able to punch through legionaires body armor with ease.

Yep. Back in the days when they actually had to MAKE the game, instead of just having a pre-made algorithm to make it without personal input.

(Granted, you still find a gem or two... but they're hard to find.)

The worst thin are not the algorythms they use, but rather lack of creativity. And the worst part is that creators are not the ones who are really responsible for that - they just want to make money and that is understandable. The real problem are the customers, who are so ignorant and blind that they will buy everything with a good advertising campaign, no matter the price and how bad it can be.

Not only have you nailed the whole "Our technology is so far beyond your's we are beyond harm." feel. But you also have managed to capture the smugness of an alien species completely dedicated to the ideal of their own superiority. In other words, we humans are all F***ed.

Clearly used a medieval armor influence which makes sense due to the "Holy Champions" Ideal, somthing about holy crusades and medieval times just go hand in hand... Couldn't possibly imagine why... <.< >.>

Anyhow, the piece balance is solid, the shading is fantastic. Armor detail wonderful. The only critique I would have is for some reason the pipe feeding into the gun looks, off to me... I feel like it doesn't properly fit with the rest of the piece. I just feel like it doesn't match the rest of the armor. Then again that observation could also just be my imagination/ personal preference so I wouldn't spend to much thought on it... But, I felt it merited mention, since you asked for criticism.

Other then that one little detail, I see nothing that would warrant a second look. You have a GREAT piece of art here and a great enemy alien look, (or heroic alien look, depending on your view point! ^_^)

As for superiority - at least they have good reason for this kind of view. Shata'lin are in straight line descendants of Angels who were first creations of their Empress, true goddess among the mortals. They also have good reason to attack as Legion once killed more than half of their population and wounded the Empress, such sacrilege couldn't go unpunished.

Still, regular Guard pales in comparison to Temple Guard, because what can be more frightening than female psykers clad in ornate armor with personal shields, wielding nearly 100% accurate weapons and religious zeal in addition?

Traditional design of pretty much everything, their HUGE battleships included, is typical for this race.

When it comes to this cable powering the gun - this is already established part of the design, yet I am aware of it's flaws. In theory such pipe could easily be cut off in battle.
