Finally! My newest drawing, one of my most detailed drawings ever is ready. Enjoy!

In this drawing you can see three Temple Guards in futuristic part of my universes timeline.
After cataclysm know as Rain of Blood, Temple Guard became regular fighting force, elite of Shata'lin military. Male Temple Guards are usually crewmen of vehicles, technicians etc. while females are warriors.
Every single female Temple Guard is potent psyker on her own. They are also equipped with best weapons and armor Shata'lin can provide. Here, you can see the most common type of armor Temple Guard uses - so called Rosa armor. It is modified version of standard medium armor, used by champions of regular guard. It is suited for female body shape, armor plates are tougher and better profiled, generators are also better. This type of armor is designed to enhance psychic abilities of its owner. It is one of two kinds of armor (second are heavy command armors) equipped with shield generator. Weapons are also unique and designed for psykers. They don't use standard ammo but rather psychic powers of their owners.
Female Temple Guards are ones of the best Shata'lin soldiers, elite able to neutralize any threat.
In this drawing you can see two regular Temple Guards and champion - note her special, customized armor and scars on her once beautiful face.

EDIT: I have found a name for the champion in the middle :) Nagatsani - sounds pretty in my opinion. So, she is no longer a random character ^.=.^

Intricate! I can picture their enemies being confused or dazzled by how detailed their armor is. Distracted.

As a result, I can see these being different shades of metal- copper, golden, silver, gunmetal... Confuse and distract.

That is exactly how their colour scheme would look like. Add red or dark violet capes and you get the idea. The simple fact that they tend to remain completely calm durign the battles and even sing chants while fighting makes them even more intimidating foes.

The chants would probably be in a minor chord harmony, to unsettle even more.

Well, to be honest, these chants are basically their way of keeping focus. It can be difficult to keep the mind clear during battle and this kind of performance certainly helps, especially if you consider the fact that all Temple Guards are obviously fanatical.

Definitely. Religious war... hurrah. *sarcasm mode*

Well, they are still quite tame in the fanaticism. They are not the type that kills every single unbeliever on sight. The faith simply gives them the feeling of the superiority and calms them in the field. And well... They have some good reasons - Goddess they believe in is completely physical being, every believe may come to her palace, speak to her, ask her for advice, even touch her and more importantly, she is willing to respond.

That is a very critical thing- the ability to have tangible proof of faith. That is almost unheard of in "real-life" religions.

Metallic glow is not that hard to do actually. All you need is defined source of light and some study on real metal plates.
Kneaded eraser is perfect for this job, to be honest ^.=.^

I always found that metal was the hardest thing to draw, but it's really satisfactory when it comes out right
