Yeah, second WIP of the newest drawing.
As you can see, there is still a lot of work before me, but you can see the background, arguably the most complicated I have ever done.

EDIT: Update! Now with some basic shading.
I can already see that scanner has eaten some of the more subtle shadows, so I'll have to make them darker - especially at legs and face. Damn this old piece of trash.

EDIT2 - Another update - improved shading on Aranya, especially her skin. Also, added shading on bed and book shelves. I had some problems here, because I had to use new B2 scribers made by different company than I usually use. These are softer, so I have to be even more delicate.

Yes, here she is. Final version.
So I guess you want some background info about her.
Name: Aranya
Age: 79 during Cleansing Light series, but here shown at age of 74 - two years before joining the Guard.
Raised by Housemother Falgullienne. Aranya was always one oh her favourite children despite being totally mediocore.
Yes, thats pretty much it. Aranya is typical lonely Shata'lin girl with dreams, ambitions and lack of special talents. Aranya is not even especially beautiful (in fact, she has HUGE butt - but it is not seen as flaw in Shata'lin society, rather the opposite), but she has not problems with that. What is special about her are her flaws. The most painful one is her weak mind. She is almost unable to use her psychic powers, even simple telekinesis is difficult to her, and she never had patience to train. She is also quite insecure, her self-rating is very low. She always felt to be an underdog and never made many friends. She also is a constant dawdler, complaining about pretty much anything, especially dirt around her, as she is very clean and tidy. Morality is also her huge issue, as she is unable to understand many things in the world, especially reasons of Shata'lin-Imubian war. This and her problems with concentration (she tends to think about pretty much everything she sees) lead her to closing in herself.
She joined the Guard in age of 76 because of her sense of duty, but also to work on some of her flaws. She proved to be quite good shot, but still somewhat unstable in combat situations, overly sensitive with weak balance of feelings - she could possibly break at any time during the battle.
Joining the Guard lead to some positive things however. Aranya found great friends in her squad, loyal, supportive and kind. Also, she fell in one sided love with her champion.
